About us

We remove furniture and bulky household items in Riga and the immediate surrounding area. We do the job from start to finish: dismantling when there's no other way to get an item out, carrying it out of the flat, loading it and hauling it to the landfill. We work with private customers and businesses alike — from a single chair to clearing an entire apartment.

Why we price from photos rather than over the phone

The request form asks for pictures, not a description. The reason is simple: a description and the reality rarely turn out to be the same size. A "small wardrobe" over the phone can turn out to be a three-door unit that was assembled in the room and no longer goes through the door in one piece. A picture shows the real bulk of an item, its condition, how it's built, and whether it has to be dismantled.

From that follows the main point: the price is fixed before we arrive, and it doesn't change on the day. There is no situation in which the crew walks into the flat, looks around and names a new figure. If what's in the pictures matches what's on site, the price stays as agreed. The alternative — an in-person survey — would mean another trip and another agreed time slot. Photos replace it.

Why we ask for the floor and the lift up front

In a lot of places the floor and the lift get mentioned in passing, somewhere in the small print. For us they are the first two questions, because they are exactly what determines how big the job really is. A corner sofa on the fifth floor with no lift and the same sofa on the ground floor are not the same job — the time, the number of people and whether the item has to be dismantled to make the turn in the stairwell all differ.

So we ask straight away. Only with the floor and the lift known can we give a price that is binding rather than provisional. If those conditions aren't established beforehand, they have to be recalculated on site — and that is precisely how "the price went up along the way" happens.

Why carrying out is included rather than an extra

The hardest part is rarely the transport. Driving a load across Riga is the simplest stage. The hard part is getting the item out of the flat: narrow stairwells, the turns between floors, door openings, shelves screwed to the wall, and dismantling on the spot.

If carrying out is charged separately, the customer pays twice for the same work and the price stops being predictable. That's why carrying out is part of the service. For what happens step by step, see how furniture removal works.

Where the furniture ends up — without the nice words

We'll say it plainly: the furniture we remove goes to the landfill and is handed over for disposal. We don't promise that an old sofa gets restored or turned into something else, because it isn't true and we couldn't prove it. More on that in what happens to furniture after removal.

What we don't take

• Construction and renovation waste — bricks, concrete, plaster, and what's left after old tiles and windows are stripped out.
• Hazardous waste — chemicals, paints, oils, batteries.
• Tyres.

We also don't move furniture to a new address. If a wardrobe needs to end up in another flat, that's a moving service, not a removal one — we take furniture away for disposal, we don't relocate it. We say so up front so nobody wastes time on a request we can't take on.
