Office furniture removal differs from a flat in its volume and in the fact that the work often has to be done within a specific time window. It is frequently a matter of dozens of identical items — desks, chairs, cabinets — rather than one sofa.
In an office the main thing is planning, not lifting
In an office clearance the hardest part is usually not the weight but the access. Office buildings have their own rules: security, passes, specific entry and loading points, and a goods lift that has to be booked in advance and is shared with the building's other tenants. If the lift slot isn't reserved, the crew stands and waits.
Likewise, the work often mustn't disturb everyone else. So the removal happens before or after the working day, or at the weekend, when the corridors and lifts are free. That has to be agreed in advance, not discovered on arrival.
Volume changes the nature of the work
Twenty identical chairs are not the same as one sofa. Identical items can be stacked into each other, wheeled on a trolley and piled by the exit while the rest are still being carried. That is a rhythm, not a series of separate carry-outs.
So in an office the most important number is the quantity by type, not a description of each piece. If we know there are 24 chairs, 12 desks and 6 cabinets, we can plan the vehicles and the people correctly in advance.
What we remove from offices
- Desks — including linked desk clusters and corner configurations;
- Office chairs — including in larger quantities;
- Filing and archive cabinets;
- Shelving and cupboards;
- Partitions and individual workstations;
- Break-room furniture — sofas, coffee tables, kitchen units;
- Appliances — fridges, coffee machines and other equipment.
What takes longer in an office
— in open-plan offices desks are often screwed together into a single block with shared cable trays and side panels. You can't simply carry them off — the block has to be separated into individual desks first.
— frequently fixed to the floor or the ceiling, and they have to be unscrewed from their fixings before they can be removed.
— full, they are extremely heavy and can't be carried down stairs. They have to be emptied before we arrive. Removing documents is not a service we offer.
— we remove servers, switches and data media only if that has been separately agreed in advance, because there is usually both an equipment and a data question involved.
When an office needs clearing
Most often this happens when moving premises, reducing floor space, after a renovation, or at the end of a lease when the space has to be handed back empty by a specific date. In those cases what matters is not just that the removal happens, but that the work happens at the planned time.
What to include in your request
- the approximate number of items by type — desks, chairs, cabinets, shelving;
- the floor and whether there is a goods lift, and whether it can be booked;
- the time window in which work is allowed — during the working day, after it, or at the weekend;
- the deadline by which the space has to be handed back;
- photos of all the rooms.
In office buildings there usually is a lift, but it isn't always available all day or big enough for a long desk. So the existence of a lift alone isn't the answer — what matters is whether it can be used at exactly the time we're working.

Price and invoicing
The price is set by the volume, the floor and whether dismantling is needed. Removing a single item starts at €30; larger volumes are priced as a whole and work out better per unit. Prices exclude VAT.
We agree the price before the work, so it can be approved internally and there are no surprises in the budget. We issue an invoice to companies. Furniture removal for businesses →
