In Mezaparks furniture removal is rarely a stairwell question. The characteristic stock here is detached houses, historic villas and low-rise buildings, so the hard part is a different one: how to get a piece from the first floor or the attic to a van standing behind the gates. We come out, dismantle if needed, carry it out and take it to the landfill.

We have no office or base in Mezaparks — we drive out. We agree the date and the hour before setting out, but we assess the scope from the photos you send.

A house, not a stairwell — what changes

A private house has no communal stairwell and no lift, which removes part of the problem. But it introduces others. We don't assume a particular house's age, structure or condition without looking — we study the photos and ask which room the furniture has to come out of.

🪜Internal stairs to the first floor and the attic

In houses the stairs are often narrow and turn. If a double bed, a sofa or a large wardrobe is upstairs, the only route is usually to dismantle it there and carry it down in parts. That's why we need the floor even in a private house.

🏠The attic and the basement as storage

In a house old furniture often ends up in the attic, the basement, a shed or the garage. From a room like that the route includes another flight of stairs, and the piece tends to come out heavier than it went in.

🚚A long route from the door to the van

In a flat it's a few metres; in a house it's the length of the whole front garden, and it's that carry, not the furniture itself, that takes most of the time.

🕐Different kinds of property in one district

Alongside the houses, Mezaparks has sports, cultural and recreational venues. If furniture has to come out of a building like that, the person responsible for the site arranges access and timing.

Gates, the garden, and where a van can actually stand

Mezaparks is a green district by Kisezers, and that determines where a van can physically get to. In practice three things matter in advance.

The gates. Whether they open wide enough for a van to come onto the property, or whether the furniture has to be carried out to the street. If the driveway is narrow or the gates are only unlocked by hand, that changes the time we plan.

Surface and driveway. The approach may be paved, gravelled or run across grass. After rain we don't drive onto soft ground with a full load — we park on a hard surface and carry the rest by hand.

A mature garden. Large trees, hedges and narrow paths limit how close to the door we can pull up and which side we can carry a piece round. If there's a porch or steps in front of the door, that too changes how a long item gets turned.

Along Meza prospekts, Kokneses prospekts and the tram line the traffic changes substantially during events, and stopping gets tighter. If you know of an event nearby, mention it on the form.

What we remove

We take household and office furniture in any condition, damaged and long-stored pieces included. Usually that's sofas, mattresses, beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs and shelving, and garden and terrace furniture as well. If a piece won't come down the internal stairs or through the door whole, we dismantle it. When everything has to be cleared — attic, basement, shed — that is a clearance job. The full list is in the services section.

In Mezaparks the figure is set by the volume, the floor within the house and how long the carry is from the room to the van. Send photos and tell us which room the furniture has to come out of and where we can pull up — then we quote a price that doesn't change on site, as long as the situation matches what we saw. No, but we need to know in advance. If the driveway is narrow or the gates don't open wide enough, we park on the street or on a hard surface and carry the piece over by hand. That leg affects the time, so mention it in the notes.
