People in Imanta usually call when a piece of furniture has already been written off but the process stalls: the old sofa is in the middle of the room with nowhere to go, and there's no space left on the balcony. We come at the agreed time, dismantle it if there's no other way, carry it out of the room, load it and take it to the landfill. You don't drag anything.

We have no office in Imanta — it's a call-out district. We plan the job from your photos and what you tell us on the form.

Imanta's stock: a housing estate, a quarter of detached houses and a new scheme, all in one district

Imanta is a large residential district in western Pardaugava, and what matters most in our work is that at neighbouring addresses the carry-out happens in completely different ways. So we don't promise one scenario for the whole district — we assess the layout of your particular building from the photos.

🏠The large apartment estates

There is usually a lift, but the cabin is sized for people and shopping bags: we don't even attempt a tall wardrobe, a double mattress or the longest section of a corner sofa in it — that stays a stairs job regardless of the floor. If the piece is long, we agree the dismantling before we set out.

🏠The detached-house zones

There's no stairwell, but the furniture is often standing in a garage, a basement level or an attic room. The route from there to the van is longer than from a flat entrance, and that changes the working time more than the weight does.

🛗The new schemes

Corridors are wider and the lift cabin tends to be bigger, but the entrance and basement access are often on a code or a card, and the work has to be arranged in advance with the building manager or security.

💶Shopping centres and service premises

If old shop shelving, office desks or chairs have to go, the timing has to be fitted around the site's operating hours.

That is why the form asks for the floor, whether there is a lift and the type of property. In Imanta that last answer often decides the crew size.

Where furniture in Imanta waits its turn

There is little storage space in a standard-series flat, so a piece that's been written off ends up on the balcony or in a basement compartment. From the balcony it has to be lifted back through the room, and the basement passage is often narrower than the flat door. If that is where the furniture is, put it on the form.

Access, inner courtyards and railway barriers

Imanta's access framework is Kurzemes prospekts, Jurmalas gatve, the railway and the proximity of Karla Ulmana gatve. Two practical things follow from that.

First, the district has large inner-courtyard areas where a van can't reach the entrance directly: it goes in along internal access roads, and the space by the stairwell tends to be taken by residents' cars. If the building can only be approached from one side, or the stairwell number isn't visible from the street, note it.

Second, the railway and the roads towards Jurmala act as barriers — the shortest route to the other side doesn't run from every address. So we try to plan jobs on this side of Pardaugava into a single run; if your date is flexible, say so. If the van can't reach the entrance, we park as close as we're allowed and carry the rest by hand. We can't open locked gates or barriers ourselves.

What we remove in Imanta

We take household and office furniture in any condition, broken pieces included. Most often it's sofa removal and mattress removal, then beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs and shelving. If a piece won't get round the stair landing whole, we dismantle it; if all the rooms have to be cleared, that's apartment clearance. Everything else is in the services section.

Prices in Imanta

A single item from €30, a mattress from €25, a sofa from €35, a bed from €35, a wardrobe from €40, a table from €30, a chair from €10. The minimum order is €30. Prices exclude VAT.

In Imanta the figure is affected by the floor, the length of the route to the van and how usable the lift actually is for that particular piece. Send photos and the floor — we'll quote a price that doesn't change on site, as long as the situation matches what we saw. See the full price list →

Imanta's neighbouring districts

Next to Imanta, on the same side of Pardaugava, we work in Zolitude and Ilguciems, and further on in Agenskalns. We drive out to Zasulauks, Kleisti, Dzirciems and Beberbeki. All the Riga districts are gathered on the furniture removal in Riga page.

What falls outside the order

We don't carry construction waste, hazardous waste or tyres. We also don't move furniture to a new address — we take it out of the property and hand it over for disposal.
