The town of Sigulda has both detached housing and blocks of flats. In a flat what decides it is the floor and whether there is a lift at all and whether the item fits in it — a tall wardrobe and a double mattress usually don't fit even where there is a lift. In a detached house there is no stairwell, but the terrain question described above takes its place.
